Tour of Paris Album
I celebrated my 28th birthday touring Paris as a gift for myself. I had an awesome time & oh, how I miss the single travelling days! I’ve created a special album to document this wonderful memory and looking through this album takes me back to Paris (in memory, at least) every time.

Tools you will need: paper cutter, scissors
Step 1: I’ve cut out a round red seal from the Bon Voyage on Stripe paper & adhered it on top of the Hemisphere Book Knob. It’s then coated with some glossy accents to decoupage it to the knob.
Step 2: The Vintage File Folders matches perfectly with the Bon Voyage range. I slipped them into the book to add more pages. Layer photos, fussy cut embellishments and blending background papers to create a unique look on each page. The tabs of the file folders were perfect for adding fun words or organizing the book.
Step 3: I’ve added charms, hardware & metals on the inside the album pages. My favourtie is the Paris Charms, which is on the knotted rope & the tab of a file folder and this charm peeks through when the book is closed. Showing off unique photos like the Mona Lisa with the simple vintage backdrop let’s the photo and the memo be the focus of the page. Don’t forget to journal the memories – you can cut the mini pieces from the French Sayings and stick them in a little purse or pocket and journal during the trip to capture special moments.
Glue photos right to the book or file folder pages or you can create small pockets with the paper and slip them in if you want to put more than one photo.
Cut out the hearts from the Paris Hearts paper and add them on top of other hearts to create this fun dimensional look that will lay flat when the book is closed. Secure photos right to the fabric pages with a glue such as Beacon’s 3 in 1 that work well adhering fabric, paper and photos together.
I added the 7gypsies optical lens fits just perfectly on the compass found on the Bon Voyage paper, glue with a liquid glue that dies clear like Beacon’s 3 in 1.
I added blank Postcards to add journaling to the book, they add personality and leave space to add just few special words.
The Bon Voyage Stripe paper is filled with words that are perfect for adding to the file folder tabs and chronicle your book. If you don’t have tabs and want to add them there are punches that you can buy to make tabs or cut your own.
Working with the printed fabric is easy and adds a whole new dimension to the book. You can snip an edge and rip the fabric to create a cool rough edge, cut with scissors or pinking shears. Leave the fabric as is or you can add color with Glimmer Mist Paints and the art will show right through. The Vintage Pins slip right through the fabric and are a perfect way to add a tag, tab or fun saying.
To finish the front of your book layer your favorite paper prints, flip in one of the pieces from the Little Pages, but pieces from the paper and fabrics and top with 1/2 of the red flower. You can ink and or mist the pages with the Glimmer Mist to add more texture and dimension. Your knob should be dry by now and ready to add in the center of the flower and finish the book off with ties of the waxed cotton cord and a few more charms. The mini clothespins can be used throughout the book to hold the right little pieces in place.
So don’t let special photos and memories from a once in a lifetime trip go forgotten. Create a special little book even if you make a large scrapbook to highlight those special memories.
