Cards… there are so many occasions and even more ways of making them special. Not one style of card-making is better than the other so, since it’s almost the V-Day, we have one more to share with you!
Nancy Hawes made a flip photo card, which you can personalise and adapt to any occasion you can think of; hers is for Valentine’s Day but you feel free to play!!!
I created this Valentine card to celebrate the love of this sweet couple. It’s so fun and easy to personalize when you’re able to include pictures. Once you make the card base, you can adapt your theme for any occasion. Canvas Corp has a beautiful selection of papers that will work perfectly for all your card making needs .
Materials used for the card:
Canvas Corp Colored Burlap
Canvas Corp Printed Tags Black On Craft
Canvas Corp Black Ivory Damask
Canvas Corp Black on White Mini Dot
Canvas Corp Red Ivory Ribbon Stripe
Canvas Corp Black and White Live Love Laugh
Canvas Corp Red White Dot Reverse
Paper cutter, Score board
Double sided tape
12×12 Card stock
Assorted dies and punches
Rubber stamps, Ink
Pop dots, Glue dots
First, make the card base – cut card base into 3 pieces, 4 1/4 x 12, 4 1/4 x 6 1/2, 5 1/2 x 5
Fold large panel in half, and score the two panels 1/2 on larger side and attach double sided tape to the flap.
Attach large panel to card base lining it up with the middle seam , make sure your card can close.
Attach smaller piece to the top back – lining the flap with the top of the card.
Next decorate each panel covering taps.
Now all you need to do is add photos, love-themed embellishments and some wishes or maybe even a romantic poem.
Hope you give this card a try and share it with us in our Facebook Collective – we would love to see it .
