Happy New Year! I am so happy that we are “ON” again… we have missed you and look forward to sharing some fun Tattered Angels projects with you this month featuring CANVAS:)
This first project of mine is on a preprinted canvas 12X12 sheet by Prima. I sprayed the background with an assortment of Chalkboard Glimmer Mists (Peacock, Concord Grape, Strawberry Shortcake and Apricot) and even used a screen in the upper right corner.
I had some old Canvas Concepts sheets in my stash that I ran through my Cuttlebug using a few different dies to give me the bird, birdcage, fleurish and assorted flower shapes.
I stamped the flowers and bird with assorted Tattered Angels stamps and then applied Glimmer Glam (Mermaid, Pink Lipstick, Dirty Martini and Peach Bellini) and Glimmer Glaze (Oil Slick, Waterfall and Pink Lady) Â with a paintbrush to all the die cuts.
What I found to be kind of cool is that the Glimmer Glam and Glimmer Glaze actually caused my flowers and fluerishes to curl but once dry, I was able to curl them into the position I wanted and they held their form giving added dimension to the canvas shapes.
This next piece is a fun canvas I created for the wall in my studio.
I sprayed the background with an assortment of Glimmer Mists (Candy Apple Red, Sunflower, Patina and Golden Terracotta) and allowed the colours to set for a short while before I laid a paper towel over the top and used a brayer to remove the excess.
I then wanted to try something a little different and dug deep in my boxes of scrap goodies from many moons ago and pulled out my old foam stamps. I applied Glimmer Glaze (Oil Slick) to the foam stamps and VOILA! I was able to get the word “ART” just as I wanted! I used a Sakura Permaopaque marker to write “Create” and “everyday” directly on the canvas.
I stamped the Tattered Angels Dragonfly and then used a fine paintbrush to apply Glimmer Glaze (Oil Slick, Orange Crush and Mellow Yellow) and Glimmer Glam (Big Apple)to the design.
Although it’s difficult to tell from the pictures here, when I used my heat gun to speed up the drying process on the dragon fly, the colours all blended together and almost melted giving a funky effect that I quite like:)
My last little project is to help me get organized this year. I used a Prima Canvas Album Page and folded it to create a pocket. I sprayed the canvas as well as the crocheted doilies and Prima flowers with Chalkboard Glimmer Mists (Hot Chocolate and Peacock).
Again, I used foam stamps and Glimmer Glam (Mermaid and Espresso Bean) to stamp the polka dotted background with a foam stamp as well.
It was so much fun playing in my studio again after the holidays that I cannot wait to get in there and see what I can create for next months post! I hope these projects provide you with a wee bit of inspiration and show you just a few of the uses of the many fabulous Tattered Angels products!
Happy Scrapping!

Love the canvas projects, thanks for sharing! But oops … you misspelled “receipts” on your project! … just reverse the order of the “i” and the “e”. 😉

LOL! I was told this a few times today and I can only say this is a very good reason why one should not play with glue when sleep deprived! Thanks sooooooo much for pointing it out though 😉

I purchased it at my lss in Edmonton Treasured Memories. I bet you could find it online though… it is one of Donna Downey’s collection an I have to say that they take Tattered Angels products better than most out there!!!!
