Tattered Angels & Cards

Greetings…I’ve just returned from my first time attending CHA in Chicago, IL. My head is spinning by all that I saw and my thoughts will have to wait until later for my job today is to show you how Tattered Angels Paint mediums work with card making. Now I’m going to admit right now that it is not my favorite thing to create…not sure why but that’s my reality. So here we go…

My first card is something I made several years ago and put away. I’m going to bet that you have some of these lying around. I decided not to reinvent the wheel so I jazzed it up with Tattered Angels WATERFALL Glimmer Glaze and my all-time favorite Tattered Angels CHANDELIER Glimmer Glam {this needs to be made in a gallon size…really!}. I added a homemade flower made with homemade paper created with the Tim Holtz TATTERED FLORAL Die & Tattered Angels CHANDELIER Glimmer Glam.

My second card is a combination of old and new. I painted the top layer with Tattered Angels MARIGOLD Glimmer Mist & Tattered Angels CHANDELIER Glimmer Glam. I added it to a card made from Pink Paislee’s SOIREE Collection and my homemade embellishments. Easy as can be!

As I was going through supplies I found a box of  Embossed Cards by DCWV . I decided that the embossing was so cool I would just paint each card with different Tattered Angels Paint mediums and see what happened. Here is a picture of all three together.

LITTLE SPROUT came about with a coat of Tattered Angels LIPSTICK PINK Glimmer Glam, a sentiment and Prima Flowers dusted with Tattered Angels CHANDELIER Glimmer Glam…how easy. Oh ~ I might like this type of card making.

I was so excited with the effect that I went on and made two more using the same idea. Here is another card using Tattered Angels GREEN MEADOW Glimmer Glam, and assorted embellishments including my homemade heart embellishment.

Last but not least this card may be my favorite of them all. A damask embellished card that I added Tattered Angels ROCKIN’ ON SUNSHINE Glimmer Glam, BAHAMA BLUE Glimmer Mist, wooden letters from Pink Paislee and my homemade paper winged heart using the Tim Holtz HEART WINGS Sizzix die.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my projects. The many cards that have been created this month are great springboards for your inspiration, make sure you come back because there are more cards still to come.

Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget…COMMIT TO THE MIST!

Pretty cards! I’m not big on card making either but I refuse to buy cards for $4 so I do make them when I need them 🙂
