Hello everyone!
Today I’ll show two lay outs where I used the “resist” technique: the first one with masculine cold colours starring my big boy Maxence, the second one with more bright colours starring my niece who celebrated her 4th birthday not so long ago.„my boy“ lay out
“My boy” layout
I wanted to have fun with embossing techniques and ink so I chose a light background paper! I stamped 3 lace-patterned stamps with Versamark ink then embossed them with white powder.
Then I grabbed my Gumdrop Glimmer Mist and two Glimmer Glaze: Aloha Green and Desert Sun. I started by spraying my lay out with Glimmer Mist ink. Then I painted inside my doilies with the help of the Glimmer Glaze’s brush. I mixed the different colours so that it looks really good.
I let it dry for a few minutes then added a little black&white picture, a few scraps of paper and washi tape.
I love this technique! It always felt like magic using my Glimmers to make the embossed patterns stand out on white paper!
As a finishing touch, I added a few drops of Glimmer Mist Black Gold, at the top of my lay out mainly.

“4 ans” layout
Time to switch to girly colours! Pink, red, turquoise and yellow: here we have a colourful creation for a girl birthday party!
We’re still using the „resist“ technique here though I used a mask instead of stamps!
Place your mask on your lay out – use a mask with large patterns, this way the technique will work better and it will look so nice!
Use Versamark ink and turquoise embossing powder on your kraft background paper. Spray yellow ink generously on your embossed shapes (Glimmer Mist Summer Glow)! It is a shade I really like and you can match it with so many other colours.
Then I added a few drops of Glimmer Glaze Aloha Green & Paradise Pink, mainly on the upper side of my lay out.
While the inks dry in, I decorate around my picture in the simplest way possible. Two stamps: a rose and butterflies embossed in sky blue & red. To make them stand out, I painted inside the stamps with yellow (Glimmer Glaze Desert Sun). It gives a really beautiful effect to the embossed shapes!!
Then I cut out new accents that I glued on my realisation.
We’re done! See you on the 27th of July for a new creation!
Have a nice day!
Karine

HI TA, any chance you could make it easier to follow your blog? I don’t see a follow button anywhere.. googled it and it says Word Press blogs should have a button on the bottom right if you’re not a Word Press blogger then you can still follow.. My preferred way is subscribing by email, but I’ll take whatever I can get! 🙂 Thank you for your consideration, and Karine, your LO’s are gorgeous, really inspired me to get mistin’ and resistin’ 😉 LOL !
