A Springtime full of Tattered Angels Paints

It’s springtime here in the Rocky Mountain Region and the grass, the trees and all the flower buds are so beautiful.  I’ve been spending as much time outside as I can!  These projects were inspired by all the lovely colors outside.Have you ever tried using Glimmer Mist or Glimmer Glam on wood?  It’s so wonderful!  I found a very plain wooden bird house and decided it needed some glimmer!

I started by spraying the Glimmer Mist on the wooden bird house.  If you continue to spray the wooden bird house while each color is wet, they blend so beautifully.  You can also paint the Glimmer Mist on to really show the wood grain, but for the bird house I misted all the colors.  I used Cranberry Zing, Spring Violet, Blackberry Cordial, and Bell Bottom Jeans.

I painted the roof with Tide Pool Glimmer Glam, and added some Want2Scrap Bling and a Bitty Blossom Spellbinders die template.  I stamped some swirls and added some glitter glass.

I am really into creating tags right now.  I love them in all sizes and particularly manilla shipping tags.  This one is extra large.

I used a piece of laser cut paper and placed it over the tag.  Then spread a thin layer of matte medium over the paper and peeled off.  I allowed the matte medium to dry.

I painted the bottom 1″ of the tag with Green Stained Glass.  Then the next 1 1/2″ with Mermaid Glimmer Glam.  Next I pained about 2′ with Tide Pool Glimmer Glam.  I misted the top of the tag with Olive Glimmer Mist, then painted the top of the tag with Chandelier Glimmer Glam and allowed to dry.

The glimmer really pools nicely.  I love all the texture and depth in this tag.  Matte medium and Glimmer Glam are fabulous together!

I die cut Spellbinders Jewel Fantasies and colored with metallic pigment ink, the I die cut Jewel Alphabet for the word “HOPE”.  I painted on more Chandelier Glimmer Glam.  I wrapped Canvas Corp twine around the tag, then painted Chandelier Glimmer Glam on Graphic 45 cardboard buttons.  Adhered a few pieces of bling, and love how much texture and color it shows.

I hope you enjoyed my projects today, and can find some inspiration in the springtime colors outside.

Have a wonderful day!

Holly
