For our October Challenge “Books Worth Reading” Crew Member Angélique Jarrier created a Mini Album inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Angélique tell us: The theme inspired me a lot because I love reading, reading an average of one book a week. It is one of my great passions, and I particularly love the great classics. And if in my collection of books, I had to keep only one, or transmit only one to my children, and well I will choose without hesitation: Alice in Wonderland – Lewis Carroll; It is a fabulous poetic tale that goes through the ages and transmits very beautiful values. In addition the illustrations (drawings) are especially sublime, the first of John Tenniel
So I created a mini album, to put pictures of my children on our next trip to Disneyland Paris. We will pass through the attractions of Alice, and it will be an opportunity for me to take wonderful pictures.
I wanted to create a female and vintage album, so I used the collection “Architecture” 7Gypsies and kraft bags to realize it. To bring magic to this album, nothing like the fabulous glimmer mist, which brings shine and glitter.
This is how Angélique made the Mini Album with these products from Canvas Corp Brands; Canvas Corp – Paper Bags Kraft (12 pieces) -Small, Canvas Corp – ATC Artist Trading Cards (25) Ivory, Canvas Corp – 12×12 E-Flute Kraft, 7gypsies Architextures Pad 8×8, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Gold, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Golden Orange, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Lox, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Crushed Shells, Tattered Angels Simply Sheer Mist – Vintage Blue.
Step 1
The first step will be to color our kraft bags.
Step 2
While our kraft bags dry, we will cut our papers from the Architectures collection to the format of our ATC by removing 2 millimeters on the edges.
Step 3
To age our papers, we will ink them with the inks of your choice. Once this step pass, we can paste our papers on our ATC.
Step 4
In the same way as for our kraft bags, we will ink our papers. Once all is dry, we will, with leftovers of paper, create our binding.
Step 5
To finish, we just have to create our cover of mini album, and a closing system. To remain simple and feminine, I chose to use ribbon. Thanks to the E-flute Kraft paper, I bring a final touch.
The Finished Mini Album:
