Altered Ruler Holder – May Challenge

Today Crew Member Monica Taylor show us how she blew new life into a item she found when out treasure hunting. Inspiered by our main May Challenge “Old is New” she transformed this piece of junk into something new and totally different!

Monica tell us: I love finding items at antique shops that I can alter. Bringing something back to life is such fun. I recently found this piece at a local antique shop and I immediately thought of the 7Gypsies Seamstress Collection and Architexture Vintage Sewing Machine to alter this item.

Monica share her transformation process with us using these products from Canvas Corp Brands: 7gypsies Seamstress Collection Patterned Papers “Seamstress” & “Spools”. Architextures Treasures Vintage Sewing Machine.

Step 1

Measure item to alter and cut pieces. Adhere pieces using Mod Podge.

Step 2

Add distress ink to edges of paper using your blending tool.

Step 3

Fill mini Jars with buttons and safety pins. Add remnant rubs to bottles. Add decorative items to collage box using your glue gun.
