This month, I took my inspiration from a workshop I attended with Donna Downey – one of the most talented artists I ever met – to make this project on art journals.
First I took every Tattered Angels paints and color I wanted to play with, along with my Prima art journal.
I worked on an image transfer of a poppy flower I had spot on the web and I gave it extra sparkle with “Chandelier” Glimmer glam color. Look how it shines! Then, I just misted with the “Sun sisters” Glimmer mist.
I chose the blue chalkboard “Teal High Heel” and “Cornflower Daze” to give contrast and I sprayed them onto a “Garden Finding” Glimmer screen before drying with the heatgun. I misted touches of “Green Forest” Glimmer Mist and I used a foam stamp from Prima. I also painted a “Blue Suede Shoes” Glimmer glam color here and there.
This last page is made with Orange Crush and Flirty Glimmer Glaze colors. I painted with gesso and I dried it slowly with the heatgun, waiting for blistering. I added up some metal embellishments and I played with glaze and allowed it to splash and drip along the page. Finally, I stamped these three pages of my art journal.
If you want to celebrate a pastoral, country-like wedding, here is some inspiration for you!
Using vellum paper, create an envelope for each guest. Fill it with different sizes confetti. To make them, spray Glimmer Mist and Chalkboard colors on a white paper – here “Firefly” Chalkboards, “Teal high heel”, “Alaskan Salmon” and “Polka Dot Pink” from the “Wedding Pallete”. Then, create circles using various punches and leave these envelopes on the plates.
Put a few flowers under a dome to create a table centerpiece. To do so, save a Easter treats box and paint “Big Apple” Glimmer Glam on the top bow and “Peach Bellini” and “Royal Velvet” Glimmer Glams as well as “Purple Passion” Glimmer Glaze and “Coral Reef” Glimmer mist on each white flower.
Thanks! Visit us again for more wonderful inspiration coming from the rest of the Design Team! See you next month!
