7gypsies Architextures™ are the perfect products for your mixed media and creative world. Today we share a set of ATC Cards created by me – Marie Johansson. But first – what is a ATC card really?
Artist trading cards (ATCs) is a conceptual art project initiated by the Swiss artist M. Vänçi Stirnemann in 1997. He called it a Collaborative Cultural Performance. Artist trading cards are 2 1⁄2 by 3 1⁄2 inches (64 mm × 89 mm) in size, the same format as modern trading cards (hockey cards or baseball cards). They are self-made unique works or small series, signed and dated on the reverse by the artist/producer, exchanged and collected by the people who participate in the collaborative performance.

I created this set of ATC cards using these products from Canvas Corp Brands:
7gypsies Architextures™ Junque Pack – Garage
7gypsies Architextures™ Parchment Rub ons
Canvas Corp ATC Artist Trading Cards (25) Ivory
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Navy Blue
Create your own by following these instructions.
step 1
Look trough your parchment rub ons sheet and cut out the images you want to use. Gently place them over your ATC cards and transfer them by with the backside of a brush or similar.
step 2
Cut pieces of from the textured surfaces that comes in your Junk Pack. Randomly add the pieces on your cards. Finish off with splatters of Glimmer Mist.
step 3
Add thin wire and secure with brads. Add small details to cover the brads (here pieces of screw heads from the Junk Pack).
