Art doesn’t always need to be big in format to be effective or send the message. Sometimes, the small form is enough to pass onto the audience what the artist wanted to express.
Three of our Crew members, decided to try their skills in what we called… 3 takes on tag.
Amour – Linda Simpson
I have always had fascination with the old writing implement of yester year! I love the ink bottles and beautiful pens they used to use. In this day of technology and not many letters being written it led to me think about how love letters were written and why I created this amour tag.

Mixed Media Tags – Steph Ackerman
I hate to throw away scraps and creating tags is a great way to use up scraps.
Materials used:
Canvas Corp – Herbs on Ivory
Canvas Corp – Black and Ivory Chicken Wire
Canvas Corp Sisal – Light Natural
Canvas Corp Burlap Sheet
7gypsies Architextures 8×8 paper pad
Tattered Angels Baseboard – Clay, Lava, Sunburst

Create tags from cardstock. Spritz with Clay, Lava and Sprout.
Cut strips of Chicken Wire paper and paint them with Clay and Sunburst.
Paint Sweet Pea Glimmer Glaze on the Canvas Corp Chicken Wire strip and selectively around the image found in the 7gypsies Architextures paper pad.
Assemble tags with assorted scraps of 7gypsies pattern papers, Canvas Corp Chicken Wire strips, burlap, twine and flowers. Paint over the image with Golden Goddess Glimmer Glam.
Cut papers to fit tag, painting additional color as needed. Add a piece of burlap and place the image on top.
Finish with flowers and a brad. Wrap twine around the flowers and separate the layers.
