Bold Brights Paint System

Hi Everyone!  JJ here again, this time showcasing the Pink Paislee Bold Brights Paint SystemThis set consists of Teal High Heel Chalkboard, Meadow Green Glimmer Mist, Pink Lipstick Glam, and Shy Violet Glaze, which naturally made me think of Easter layouts.  Of course, my photos weren’t typical Easter colours, but that made them stand out more against this bright colour combination.

I misted this sheet of Canvas Corp handmade paper with Meadow Green glimmer mist and Teal High Heel chalkboard.  Then I applied gesso with a stencil, and stamped with the Shy Violet glimmer glaze (stamp is from the Architectural Trims set).  The zebra striped Canvas Corp paper was misted with Teal High Heel chalkboard.

I painted Canvas Corp burlap with Pink Lipstick glimmer glam. The burlap star was misted with the Meadow Green glimmer mist, which I also used on the Love My Tapes lace.

Chalkboard mist is perfect on grungeboard – I used Teal High Heel chalkboard on these letters.

For my next layout I wanted to show this bright paint system with brightly coloured photos:

I wanted to mist the background with the Teal High Heel chalkboard, but I didn’t want the intense opaque colour, so I misted the paper with water first, then gave it a good dose of the Chalkboard, and immediately blotted with a towel and brayer.   The water allows the Chalkboard mist to ‘float’ briefly, allowing you to get this mottled effect if you blot right away.

I stamped the pink dots pattern using Pink Lipstick glimmer glam.  The lace was misted with Meadow Green glimmer mist.

I painted these older Heidi Swapp resist letters with the Meadow Green glimmer mist.

Because this paint system was chosen as part of the Color Connections with Pink Paislee, I wanted to use it with one of the Pink Paislee Mistables papers.  I misted the entire sheet with the Meadow Green glimmer mist, then I added the Teal High Heel chalkboard around the edges, allowing the colours to blend  before I blotted off the excess.

I used texture medium and a stencil to get these rocks on the page.  Once it was dry, I painted them with the Shy Violet glimmer glaze, and immediately misted with water to make it run.  It left me with a softer version of the glaze, which was perfect for these photos.  I also added some stamping using the Architectural Trims stamp set.

The Love My Tapes lace was painted with Pink Lipstick glimmer glam, and the striped fabric tape was painted with the Shy Violet glimmer glaze.   (The teal patterned paper is from the Pink Paislee ‘Soiree’ collection).

I painted these Prima canvas letters with the Pink Lipstick glimmer glam.   This photo also demonstrates how much of a difference Chalkboard mist can make on a piece of fabric.  The tan fabric is the original colour and the teal fabric is the same fabric misted with Teal High Heel chalkboard.  It was a happy discovery to find the white anchors resisted the mist!

Once I was finished my 3 layouts, I decided I wanted to show one more quick project, showing off the pink side of this paint system.   I started with Bazzill resist cardstock and painted it with Pink Lipstick glimmer glam.  I added the Shy Violet glimmer glaze to the edges and blended them together.

The felt eggs were each coloured with the Bold Brights Paint System as well, using the Pink Lipstick glimmer glam, Meadow Green glimmer mist and Teal High Heel chalkboard.  All worked beautifully on felt.

Are you itching to use the Bold Brights Paint System yet?  Thanks for visiting!
