Build Your Vision Spring Canvas – “Spring & Butterflies” Challenge

Today Crew Member Christine Santos share a gorgeous project inspired by our current Spring & Butterflies Challenge. Christine tell us:

“Lush greenery of Spring inspired me to create a canvas which is my vision for this year…to build just the way I want to. I have paired Spring’s gorgeous green shades with Pantone’s 2018 ultraviolet color. Flowers, butterflies and texture adorn this canvas, featuring 7Gypsies’ Spectacles Architextures and Parchment Rub-ons.”

Prime the canvas with gesso and stencil some texture paste through. Spritz and layer the Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists on the primed canvas and let dry completely. Build a flower cluster on the middle of the canvas and generously spritz with the Tattered Angels Chalkboard mist and let dry. Then, spritz a different color of Glimmer Mist on top and let dry completely.

Add some 7Gypsies Architextures Build Rub Ons around the cluster. Add some beads and flakes around for added texture. Fussy cut couple of butterflies from Canvas Corp’s Spring Showers: Butterflies on Ivory Paper and adhere these on the canvas. Add some last touches of Glimmer and Chalkboard misting around the canvas.
