Canvas and Color, a perfect combination!

Hello from the Netherlands! It’s cold and rainy and windy over here and though I’d rather have a warm and sunny day this weather is perfect to lock yourself up in your scraproom and create all day long!!

And the new Glimmer Mist spring colors are sure to make you happy and bring a little sunshine in these cold days!

My first project here is a little canvas note book cover using the new spring colors Glimmer Mist Rum Punch, Marmalade, Bahama Blue en Trunk Bay. Used Glimmer Glaze Waterfall and Icile to finish of the letters and the frame (Framed Fonts Regal Embossed). Regal Classic Accents Stamp and clear embossing powder were used to make the swirl.

My second project is a wooden welcome sign with a cute little canvas bird. Sunny colors on this one too although these are from older ranges. Glimmer Mist Candy Apple Red, Sunshine, Jingle Bells. Golden Terra Cotta, Dragonfly (LOVE that blue color!).

To ad some sparkle to the wood I added a thin layer of Glimmer Glam Mermaid on top of the sprayed background. The berries where colored with Glimmer Glaze Flirty. Again the Regal Classic Accent Stamps were used and a glass tile butterfly.

And finally a little canvas. Background was colored with Glimmer Mist Dragonfly and Apple. To create the heart I mixed some Dragonfly with Gesso, placed the Timeless Romance Heart Screen on the canvas and covered it with the colored Gesso. Then I removed the screen. Love the dimension and structure this gives to the canvas! Finally stamped some circles and splashed some drops with Glimmer Glaze Orange Crush. The wing shape foil chips are sprayed with Glimmer Mist Sunflower.

Hope you enjoyed my attempt to bring you a little sunshine and that you got inspired to make some of your own! 🙂

Happy glimmering!

Birgit
