Canvas Corp and Spellbinders

Welcome to the Canvas Corp Brands Blog! If it’s your first time here, we’re happy you came to visit. Today we are extremely excited to be involved in an amazing blog hop with Spellbinders along with  10 other fantastic companies. We’re pleased to present these beautiful creations from two of our talented designers, Shelley Haganman and Ginny Nemchak! And don’t forget about the giveaway at the bottom of this post!

500x500_SpringFever

Hello! Shelley here. I don’t know about you but I am SO ready for Spring and all that comes with it! Spring means flowers, green, and sunshine. I had the pleasure of participating in the Spring Blog Hop with Canvas Corp Brands and Spellbinders. I chose to make a simple Spring flower pot that will remind me of all the good things coming our way.

h

I received the Floral Cottage Shapeabilities Die/Embosser. When I saw the house shape my brain told me let’s do something completely different with this. So I chose to use it as an arrow of sorts! Used my die to cut a piece of Canvas Corp White and Kraft Fleur De Lis paper. I cut four pieces and then used an embossing folder I had on hand to give it a bit more dimension.  Once I had my pieces I simply hot glued them around a paper mache flower pot!

Then I just filled with some moss. To make the burlap and canvas flowers I used a piece of Canvas Corp Burlap and Canvas Fringe and a piece of embroidery floss. A simple stitch along one side and then gathered and sewed the two ends together to create the flowers.

Then I took my flowers and hot glued a straw to the back of the flower to make the stem. I couple of pieces of  Canvas Corp Kraft and White Lace Paper and some flair and my flowers were complete. I then wrapped Canvas Corp Cording around the flower pot and added a vintage milkcap I had on hand to finish the look!

I hope you enjoyed my “take” on the Spellbinders die for the Canvas Corp/Spellbinders Spring Blog Hop!

Hi all…Ginny here and what an exciting day for me to get to be a part of the Spellbinders Blog Hop.  So much creativity in one place is a crafters dream come true! I’ve been so inspired by the projects shared by the super talented artists so far.  I hope my little contribution will inspire some crafty folks too!

I created a Snips and Snails Little Boy Album with patterned papers from Canvas Corp and fabulous dies from Spellbinders.

IMG_5339-1024x848

I used the Lovin’ Diamond Shapeabilities Die to cut Tan & Ivory French Script patterned paper …then inked it to distress and heat embossed it with glossy powder to create this lovely frame which inspired the size and shape of this mini.

I added Tan & Ivory Ribbon Stripe patterned paper to the binding and Blue & Ivory Baby Boy Alpha on the back cover.

IMG_5337-1024x887

I trimmed circle images from the It’s a Boy Stripe on Ivory and layered them over metal rimmed mailing tags then added silver eyelets to hang them on the binder bow.

The inside pages are layered with Lattice Rectangles Nestabilities dies with Baby Boy Quotes On Ivory, Tan & Ivory French Script, Blue & Ivory Ticking, the topped off with images from It’s A Boy On Ivory.

I created these flowers with Spellbinders Camellia Die D-Lites…..I just changed the papers and techniques to create different looks.

Additional supplies….Tim Holtz Distress Ink~Gathered Twigs, Ribbon trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon, Wow Embossing Powder~Gloss

Okay that’s all for me…I hope you are enjoying the hop as much as I am! Wishing you a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : )G
