Celebrating in Color

Weddings are a great event to celebrate in color.  Like many of us, I was first attracted to Tattered Angels colors that can be applied to range of surfaces.  We  no longer have to drive all over town to find matching trims, now the hard part is picking which colour.

Living in the tropics, for us a wedding is often a brightly coloured beach theme.

Products: Turquoise Blue, Chandelier, Midnight Rendezvous, Sun Sisters

Tattered Angels has a paint for every material and teamed with something like Jo Sonia’s textile medium you can even wear your sparkling glimmering colours.  A special lace cuff in shades of champagne and gold.

Products:  Golden Goddess, Firefly, Sun Sisters, Saffron

As a watercolour painter it was an easy lure for me to follow the shimmering glimmering trail into Tattered Angels paints. Old habits are hard to give up and you will often find me dipping a paint brush in the glimmer mist or pouring it into a sponge.

Altered books and art journals some of my favourites.  Many of us use journals and art to explore thoughts and some of us like to use them to explore new techniques.  Wendy is always adding Tattered Angels how to videos that keep us inspired with fun new ideas.

Many of my journal pages are testing grounds to try out other painting techniques in glimmering shades like this one with a rainy day background complete with puddles.

Products: Blue Skies, Sapphire, Frost, Silver, Chandelier

And faux brickworks with fabric leaves

Products:  Decadence, Brick, Candy Apple Red, Marigold, Sprout, Inchworm,

Hearing from our readers makes everyone’s day. We like sharing techniques or tips and questions posted in comments will be responded to in this forum in the next few days.
Have wildly colorful day!

These are fabulous…I can’t pick a favorite. I’ve been looking for a textile medium so thank you for the tip! The Art Journal pages are divine…did you hand print the lettering?
