Coffee cups and books – card making

Hello, everyone! How are you? Monica Taylor here again. I love to create Coffee themed projects! When I saw these stacked books in the Ordre Du Jour paper stack, I knew they would pair up nicely with a Caffe Latte… my favorite drink to be paired up with a good book!

Monica used:
7gypsies Ordre Du Jour 8×8 paper pad

Yellow Oxide acrylic paint
Resist Paper
Ground Expresso Distress Ink
coffee beans and coffee cup stamp
Tim Holtz foam letters
Black archival ink
paint brush, scissors, blending tool
coffee cup and coffee

Background created using an 8″ x 8″ resist paper and Matt acrylic paint.
Coffee stains were used using real coffee and a coffee cup. I also stamped some coffee beans with a small rubber stamp.

I stamped a coffee cup and fussy cut the books and coffee cups out of one of the pates in the Ordre Du Jour paper pack and adhered using collage medium.

Final touches included Tim Holtz Sticker words and cut out words from Canvas Corp Brand Coffee Kraft Paper along with a stamped title “Caffe latte”.

Looking at the finished card, you wouldn’t say how quick and easy the making process is. Very effective, don’t you think?

Happy crafting!

Monica Taylor
