Creepy Moon Canvas I Good for the Creative Soul Challenge

We love to do exchanges, support our team and do fun things that keep us creating. In 2018 we want to push our dear Creative Crew into new creative adventures. We want them to push their limits, try new things and evolve their creativity. We decided to create a serie of out of the box challenges that we call “Good for the Creative Soul”. We have figured out 1 special challenge each month.

In November we challenged the Crew to do a project that must be SCARY & include something sharp. They could use any technique/material they wanted but it must be 75% CCB products.

Today Crew Memeber Chris Pozzi share a canvas inspiered by the challenge.

” I was inspired by the Black Moon channel this month. I don’t usually create creepy things but decided to to try to step a little out of my comfort zone to play along this month. When I think scary I do not think slasher like films, but rather creepy, ghosts coming out of the wall things! So this project is my attempt at a scary, creepy canvas.”

This is how the Canvas was created:

step 1

Paint Chipboard skull with Ivory Tattered Angels High Impact Paint. Once dry paint tips of skull with Red Tattered Angels High Impact Paint. Mist Skull with Nougat Glimmer mist to “age” skull. Let dry.

step 2

From 7 Gypsies Architextures paper pad select papers as shown. On back side of Stencils Crates paper use colored pencils to add highlights to brass hand. Use embossing pen over hand. Add Vintage Beewax Embossing Powder and Heat Emboss. I included a before and after picture of the hand.

step 3

Mod Podge “hand” paper to the Art Board. Add torn pieces of Art Wall paper. Attach brad from back side to top corner of Art Board. Cut Numbers from Number Tags paper and add to Art Board. Mist Art Board with Tattered Angels Nougat and Rose Gold Glimmer Mist, allowing some to drip down board. Attach aged skull to finish.
