Crew Interview – Christine Santos

It’s time for another post in our 2017 Canvas Corp Crew Interviews. We are extremely privileged to be able to work with a group of over a 100 of amazing designers from around the world. They have all come together to create, share ideas, support each other, let us know what we can do better and remind us of what we are doing well.  Our Crew members contribute projects to our blog, design with our products on their blogs, create models for our trade shows, packaging and other fun little projects.  We love to hear what they have to say, to be inspired by their work and to learn new things everyday.
Today, we get to know Christine Santos.

Where do you reside?
Auckland, New Zealand

Describe your design style…
Fun and Colorful

Who or what do you give credit to inspiring your creativity?
My mom triggered my creativity by giving me some crafty supplies when my first daughter was born, then there was no going back.

What inspires you today?
Family and life…they inspire me everyday and I’m so thankful.

What is your favorite Canvas Corp Brand Product? and why? Just one please!!!
That’s a very tough question as I love them all. But when it comes down to choosing just 1 product, then it’s Tattered Angels Pearl Glimmer Mist. I practically use it on almost all my creations.

We asked Christine to choose her favorite project she has created using CCB Products.

Why is it your favorite project?
It’s my favourtie CCB project because this layout really represents my crafting style. I thouroughly enjoy adding splashes of various Tattered Angels Mists on Tattered Angels Mistable Paper, layered with Canvas Corp gorgeous Heirloom Paper peeking underneath.

Do you teach and if so tell us a bit about what you teach, where you go and some of your favorite places?
Yes, I teach and occasionaly create kits for Scrapaholics in Auckland, NZ. I enjoy spending time with like-minded ladies and spreading my love for this craft.

I am the happiest doing…
I am happiest when I come home from work to my family.

My favorite place to be creative…
I have an awesome dining room table which transforms into my creative space at night.

Tell us one cool detail about your studio or craft space…
At the moment, my craft space needs tidying! I do like having all my Tattered Angels paints and other mediums handy and easy to reach as I use them all the time.

Tell us one thing fun about you we might not know…
Besides crafting and my job, I also enjoy cooking and swimming, and teaching them to little kids.

Share with us anything about your creative life that you feel would inspire others..
Do not overthink when you create…see where it takes you.
