It’s time for another post in our 2017 Canvas Corp Crew Interviews. We are extremely privileged to be able to work with a group of over a 100 of amazing designers from around the world. They have all come together to create, share ideas, support each other, let us know what we can do better and remind us of what we are doing well. Our Crew members contribute projects to our blog, design with our products on their blogs, create models for our trade shows, packaging and other fun little projects. We love to hear what they have to say, to be inspired by their work and to learn new things everyday.
Today, we get to know Emma Tildesley.

Describe your design style…
My design style varies from romantic/vintage to sophisticated goth/grunge
Who or what do you give credit to inspiring your creativity?
Marta Lapkowska, Heather Tracy, Sandra Evertson and Finnabair are my biggest people inspirations. My mood and the events of my day, are other things I draw inspiration from.
What is your favorite Canvas Corp Brand Product? and why? Just one please!!!
I love Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists. They are so versatile, can be used on so many surfaces and in a variety of ways. They can be used as a stand alone colour or merged with other colours to create new beautiful combinations. The can be used in conjunction with other tattered angels products to create different effects. The colours are vibrant and they really glisten, and I just love them!
We asked Emma to choose her favorite project she has created using CCB Products.
Why is it your favorite project?
This project was my very first for CCB and so I feel a bit sentimental about it. It was also my first time playing with a lot of CCB products and I enjoyed making this page immensely.
I am the happiest doing…
Being creative, whether that be creating a journal page or a mixed media piece, writing a story, or playing with makeup. I am happiest when I am being creative.
My favorite place to be creative…
My conservatory at home with my cats Sookie and Pippa.
Tell us one cool detail about your studio or craft space…
My new studio is currently being gutted and rebuilt, so at the moment I don’t have a space at all. But when I do it will be fabulous.
Tell us one thing fun about you we might not know…
Aside from mixed media and crafting, my other passion is writing children’s picture book stories and adult novels.
Share with us anything about your creative life that you feel would inspire others…
I always try to tell others there are no rules in art, if your enjoying yourself then your doing it right.
