Where do you reside?
I live in a quaint little area called Battle Ground Washington, in the Pacific Northwest fo the USA. Having been away from my home (only 45 minutes north of where I now reside) for over 15 years we made the move from the desert of Southern Utah to Battle Ground last year. I love being back among the rivers, mountains and beauty that can only be found in the Pacific Northwest. We are only a hop, skip and jump to Portland, Oregon, the Pacific Ocean or the Mountains. The best of all worlds at our fingertips.
Describe your design style…
My style is a mixture of whatever makes me happy inside at the moment. I love Vintage and Grungy but I’m open to most all. I usually find that once I begin my project takes on it’s own life, evolves and transforms to share my love of creating from the inside outside.
Who or what do you give credit to inspiring your creativity?
YouTube, YouTube, YouTube. Rewind, Pause, Fast-forward. Wow has that been my mantra since I first started on this paper journey. I’ve learned so much from the vast, creative, crafting society online. So much inspiration and generosity to share their knowledge which in turn has inspired me to persevere and continue into many new paper crafting adventures. Crafters have the most generous hearts and most love to share their knowledge and inspire someone else to learn what they’ve learned. I’ve asked numerous questions of others along the way and very rarely has someone been reluctant to not help or share how they do a particular process or technique. Because of that it’s like a never-ending Pay It Forward. Whenever I can I love to share my knowledge or what I’ve gleaned with other crafters who are struggling to figure something out. Nothing’s better than hearing some one say “I did it”!
What inspires you today?
It’s still YouTube but now I’ve branched out into many Facebook Craft Groups that have a never ending supply of talent and creativity flowing to my desktop. I’m also an avid Pinterest gal, so I pin pin pin all my favorite ideas. I often refer back to the pins when I’m stumbling for an idea, rarely if ever do my creations end up resembling what inspired me, but that’s the key I was inspired!
What is your favorite Canvas Corp Brand Product? and why? Just one please!!!
Paper, paper and more paper. Canvas Corp gives me the best of all worlds whether it be in a pad of paper that gives me multiple pages of the same sheet, something I love because often I like to layer my images bits and pieces, one over the top, for a very dimensional look. But paper comes in many forms at Canvas Corp, heavy with more stability for the mini’s I like and tissue for a fantastic texture in a mixed media project. A never ending smorgasbord of yumminess.
We asked Patti to choose her favorite project she has created using CCB Products.
Why is it your favorite project?
Sugar and Spice Mini. It’s just so sweet and delicate. I loved working with so much canvas, something I hadn’t done before. It’s always fun to venture away from the traditional.
Do you teach and if so tell us a bit about what you teach, where you go and some of your favorite places?
I’ve taught a few classes to some friends and wouldn’t be adverse to doing more. I love to teach and share what I’ve learned with others. The opportunities just haven’t approached me yet.
I am the happiest doing…
I am happiest when I am creating for someone specific. Years ago when I first started crafting I always had a ‘someone’ in mind when I started a project but when I began to work on Design Teams the projects came faster with no particular person in mind. Nothing is better than having that connection to someone than when I create it’s truly an act of love that comes through with each aspect of the project.
My favorite place to be creative…
In my craft room. Until a year ago I shared a space with my other half. He had one side of the den and I got the other (plus the closet). Now I have a wonderful craft room all to myself, with big bright windows that allow me to watch gorgeous sunsets in the evenings. It’s my happy place a place I can go to just let my creativity flow.
Tell us one cool detail about your studio or craft space…
I don’t have to share it! It’s all my own space which is wonderful.
Tell us one thing fun about you we might not know…
I can’t ride a bike, I tried and my brother and his friend made such fun of me when I crashed that I never tried again. I can’t swim worth a darn and water above my ankles makes my heart palpitate. I’ve never been able to carry a tune, even though I love to sing, but it’s better to do that out of the ear shot of others.
Share with us anything about your creative life that you feel would inspire others…
If I can do it, you can do it too! I tell crafters this all the time. Nothing is hard, it’s just a matter of learning the process and tweeking it to how you like it. Always try and be open to new ideas and techniques, you might discover that what you’ve been avoiding will be your next big passion.
Thank you for stopping by! Have a great day!

I live in Scotland UK. I came up Patti’s channel purely by chance. What a happy chance that was. She’s wonderful, so creative. I never thought that I could make a mini album but she’s so inspirational and breaks it down and just had a lovely way of putting it all across. She’s a true Gem and we all love her.
