I live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Describe your design style…
I’m not quite sure that I have a style lol. I think I would say that it’s anything messy. Started out being totally clean cut when I was making cards and now… well, anything is possible!
Who or what do you give credit to inspiring your creativity?
I would have to say that I was on quite a lot of design teams and I have met some truly talented ladies. They all inspired me. I was also very lucky to be able to take a class with Dina Wakley which really helped me to be more free. When the mixed media started taking hold of my life, youtube was a huge influence with wonderful ladies such as Jennibellie and Shannon Green.
What inspires you today?
Thrift stores finds really inspire me. I have started seeing things in a totally different light! I also love to recycle and many colleagues and family member will give me things that they figure I can use. I love taking inspiration from that.
What is your favorite Canvas Corp Brand Product? and why? Just one please!!!
I ADORE Tattered Angels mists. I believe that there is so much that you can do with them. You really can completely change the look of something totally ordinary.
We asked Vicky to choose her favorite project she has created using CCB Products.
Why is it your favorite project?
I had soooo much fun making this box for one of my sons. I love steampunk and used some regular plaster material to make it. The fabulous colors came from the Tattered Angels Naturally Aged Bare Metal paint kit that I used in this project.
Do you teach and if so tell us a bit about what you teach, where you go and some of your favorite places?
No, I don’t. I hope that one day maybe that could be an option but not sure if anyone would really need to learn any of the stuff I do, there as so many talented ladies out there.
I am the happiest doing…
…playing with my paints/inks and being messy. I also get very zen while cutting and gluing papers lol
My favorite place to be creative…
In my garage doing my mixed media since it’s a place where I don’t feel concern about the mess I’m making.
Tell us one cool detail about your studio or craft space…
It’s a very crammed area of my garage but it’s mine. The shelf was built by my father and me out of recycled wood and some old pipes. From those pipes, I hang my stencil collections by theme.
Tell us one thing fun about you we might not know…
I love super CUTE items (such as little figurines tsum tsums and pink and glittery things) but I also have this darker side that just adores Skulls and doll heads… yeah, I know it’s creepy.
Share with us anything about your creative life that you feel would inspire others…
I think that in order to be creative you have to let yourself try out new things and to do a bit of creative things every day! That helps to keep the process alive even if you don’t feel like it.
Thank you for stopping by! Have a great day!

Well I was wondering where you have the freedom to make all that mess, Vicky! LOL Hope you have some heat in there. You really are an inspiration to me. Love your UTube videos and miss being on a DT with you. Can wait to see what you do with all of the great stuff from Canvas Corps. xxD
