Creating banners for Spring, Easter and Everyday are fun and easy to do. We gathered a range of different banner ideas using paper and fabric and a little bit of found things and we know you will inspired to make your own.
Gather paper from your stash, pick up some new paper or design your own with a digital download or other fun art. Once you decide the style, you can then gather ribbon, fabrics, flowers, clothespins and other goodies to help bring your banner to life.
You can mix your banner shapes or use the same style depending on the look you are going for. Clip them with clothespins, wrap the paper around or glue them into place.
Early Spring Butterfly Banner
If you love the look of nature in your projects travel to the backyard and look for unique branches, pods and other unique dried foliage. As Winter comes to an end there are many options of dried branches, pods and leaves that are simply beautiful. They will soon disappear so what a perfect way to preserve a few special one.s
Gold, Black and a touch of Turquoise is the perfect palette for this canvas banner. The banner is tied together with simple touches of canvas, butterflies and Bella Blvd Bows.
The center of the banner was created with 2 Canvas Diamond Shapes stitched together to create a pocket or canvas vase. The extra layers of canvas create a nice heavy duty place to hold flowers, dried foliage or maybe even a little Easter candy. The butterfly was cut from the Canvas Corp Butterflies paper and painted with the new Tattered Angels Shimmer Paints – Yellow. The simple black and ivory paper let’s you add a touch of color making it the perfect companion for any color palette.
The outside pieces are created on Canvas Corp Banners. The banners are available in a few traditional shapes and a variety of sizes, this one is the Small Flag Banner. The channel at the top is great for slipping in unique items like these branches, paint brushes, ribbon or jute cord. The sweet felt bows find themselves here and there on the banner and look so adorable.
The butterflies were painted with the same Tattered Angels Shimmers Paint, this new paint is a special recipe of tone on tone dye and mica to create a beautiful watercolor look.
The paint comes in a 1 ounce bottle with a brush applicator, making adult coloring with a brush so fun. Crop you paper and stitch or glue onto the front of your banner piece.
Easter time is a time for sweet treats and Barb shows us how to make the cutest paper candy holders that are perfect for adding to an Easter Basket, setting at each place setting at the Easter table or treat bags for a school or church party. The Bella Blvd paper is scaled just right for little cards and treat bags and the touches of Canvas Corp jute cord and burlap give a touch of dimension and add the handmade appeal of this treat bag and Easter Card. Jump over to Barb’s blog for details on how tho make the treat bags and she shares a spattering of cards using the collection that really shows off how many unique combinations you can make you can see it all on Barb’s Blog Paper Therapy Ponderings.
So whether you are decorating for the spring or Easter, making a housewarming gift for Easter Day, designing treat bags for church or filling ball jars with your favorite homemade treats you have everything you need when you combine Canvas Corp and Bella Blvd products.
We love to collaborate with other craft manufactures to see how well our product work together, to stretch our design style and to have a chance to work with products other than our own, which keeps the creative juices flowing. When the opportunity to work with the Bella Blvd this spring arose, we were so excited to bring the brands together and make some creative magic. Bella Blvd founder Stephanie Smokovich started the company in her parents’ home in 2008 with a focus on scrapbooking papers and embellishments featuring bright and graphic designs. We have loved working with their entire team to pull this project together and we cannot wait to share with you all the wonderful projects created by both the Bella Blvd and Canvas Corp Brands design team members. We decided to choose 8 people from each of the teams to send the Sweet Sweet Spring from Bella Blvd, a different blank surface, Tattered Angels Paints and assorted coordinating embellishments from Canvas Corp Brands. Canvas Corp Brands offers a wide range of craft basics that help bring your creative ideas to life and blank surfaces that help show off your design style for all to see.
Happy Creating and we hope you enjoy hopping around this week!!! Join us at the end of the week for more exciting projects.
