Easy Farmhouse Christmas tote

At Canvas Corp we are all about handmade pretty things so it should be no surprise that when Monica Taylor made a gorgeous Christmas tote using our Farmhouse Christmas printed fabric panel, we fell in love straight away!

As a designer, I love when I am able to coordinate my paper crafting with my sewing. I decided to create a cute little canvas bag to coordinate with some holiday cards using the Farmhouse Christmas design. – says Monica.

Fusible Interfacing
Sewing Machine, Scissors
Pattern, Straight pins

Using your simplicity pattern, cut out two pieces of the Farmhouse Christmas print and 1 piece of the black canvas sheet.

For the liner, cut out two pieces of the Natural Canvas sheet for the sides and one piece of the Natural Canvas sheet for the bottom. If you want your bag to be a little stiffer, cut out two pieces of interfacing for the sides and one piece for the bottom. Iron the fusible interfacing to your lining.

Following the pattern, sew one side of the panel to the bottom piece and attach the zipper to the side panels.

Once your zipper is attached, follow the pattern directions to sew together the bag.

This little tote is perfect to hold matching A2 note cards using the matching Farmhouse Christmas Card stock.
You could even add a matching little stocking tags to make a perfect little gift for the holidays.
