Are you looking for neat ways to wrap a present for a friend? Why not try the wooden boxes covered in burlap?
To create the box below, I first covered it in Canvas Corp burlap. Now you can use the burlap that comes in bulk, or depending on the size of you box you can use the burlap square pieces.
You can see that I sprayed the bow with glimmer mist. ((to make the bow is easy peasy! I took the small square burlap shapes and tied it with the jute cord balls. Then to fray the edges I pulled some of the end woven pieces out until I liked the look.)
Here is a closeup to see how I used the texture paste. For this particular box I mixed Tattered Leather glimmer mist with pumice paste. I wanted a very textured look. The pumice makes it very sandy. Love it!
Here is what it looks like from the side.
I did build up the top left corner with stencils and texture paste, however my flower building started taking over. lol. Can be known to happen in my neck of the woods. :))
All of the jute used in this for the bows, and wrapping around the sides is this jute rope cord. My ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE jute cord out there! I simply put the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Crafty Power Tape around the box and then wrapped this cord until I liked the look. Super durable!
All of the flowers were Prima Marketing flowers that started out white and I used many different colours of glimmer mist to colour them!
The following glimmer mist colours were used in this project
Coffee Shop
Suede
Key Lime Pie
English Ivy
Tattered Leather
Sunflower
The fun flower centres are from Glitz Design– I adore their large rhinestones
Thanks for joining me today! Hope you spend the day getting inky!
