After a long, hot and humid summer, nothing sounds better than the 65 degree temperatures that come along with the fall season. Today, Viktoriya shows us how to make the perfect home decor element that properly celebrates this time of year! Combining three collections that you may not typically think to put together, Farmhouse Kitchen, Snips & Snails and Boots & Saddles, she makes something trendy and simple that perfectly captures the feeling of fall.
Hi, Viktoriya here and today I am making home decoration for autumn – a fabric banner in black/cream/kraft colors. Stylish and easy.
Materials:
Canvas Corp Chocolate and Ivory Large Feathers 12×12
Canvas Corp Farmhouse Market on Ivory 12×12
Canvas Corp I’s a Boy on Ivory 12×12
Canvas Corp Black and Kraft cardstock
Canvas Corp Black Mini Clothespins
Tattered Angels White High Impact Paint
Scraps of cardboard box
Tools: Scissors, Die Cutting Machine, Alphabet Stencil, Glue
Step 1: Cut 8 circles from CC black and kraft cardstock using Circle die-cuts – 4 black and 4 kraft. The black circles are bigger than the kraft circles. You can use scallop, straight edge or your favorite circle punch or die.
Step 2: Fussy cut different images from printed CC cardstock. I used papers from Farmhouse Kitchen, Boots and Saddle and Snips and Snails.
Step 3: Using an Alphabet stencil, transfer letters onto the kraft circles with white High Impact Paint. Let dry.
Step 4: Glue small pieces of corrugated cardboard onto kraft circles. Glue it on black circles for volume.
Step 5: Decorate fabric banners with the cut-out elements and glue circles with letters.
Step 6: Use black clothespins and natural cord and banner is ready for decoration!
Super chic and super simple! This banner incorporates the perfect colors and images for the fall season. We are in love!
