Time to meet another member of the crew, Gina Knuppenburg. Gina is a lifestyle crafter with clever and creative ideas that make us smile. While she lives in Arkansas, she is a bit far away, so even when you are close you can still be so far. We love to find members both near and far and really enjoy Gina’s energy. Here is a bit more about her.

Where do you reside?… I moved from the shores of Lake Michigan to the shores of Greers Ferry Lake in Arkansas nine years ago. My fiancé and I live in a tiny fixer-upper cottage on a hill in a quiet cove. Greers Ferry Lake is just north of Little Rock Arkansas and helps give Arkansas its state description – the Natural State.
Describe your design style…. I prefer clean lines, muted colors, and I love crafting with a purpose. I’m not someone to just sit down and make something that will be put away and forgotten about. I like creating useful objects to be used and loved. It feels so great to give homemade gifts with products I love to work with.
Who or what do you give credit to inspiring your creativity?… I’m inspired by the products themselves. I’ve been goo-goo-gaa-gaa for Canvas Corp supplies for ages, it seems. Burlap, canvas, ropes, thick sturdy scrap papers-they inspire so many great ideas.
We ask each designer to create a 4×4 canvas that represents their design style and a bit of who they are and here is Gina’s. The soft detail and layers are magnificent. “choose love”
What is your favorite Canvas Corp Brand Product? and why?… Hands down-canvas! I love using canvas to make bunting and pennant banners. I’ve sewn canvas sheets into journal covers, bridesmaids invites, painted on it and embroidered it. It’s versatile, comes in awesome colors, and so, so easy to work with.
What is your favorite project you have created using CCB Products?…
Why is it your favorite?… I couldn’t pick just one so these are my four favorites. The tea packets may be ahead just a bit, though. They were fun to create with Glimmer Glazes. I was/am still new to creating with paints, mists, and glimmers so it was fun to use those mediums for the first time here. Also-the packets themselves were so fun to give away afterwards.
I am the happiest doing….. Wedding crafting! Canvas Corp’s supplies are just the perfect mediums for rustic or shabby chic wedding decor.
My favorite place to be creative…..When it’s cold outside I love to settle in my bright and cheerful craft room, but my ABSOLUTE fave is crafting outside on our covered deck that overlooks Greer’s Ferry Lake.
Tell us one cool detail about your studio or craft space… I’m normally not a “bright colors” person. I love deep, rich browns, navy blues, and creamy light ivories and whites. When I made over my craft room two years ago, however, I felt the urge to work with color. I love the pops of brightness and I love working in here now.
Tell us one thing fun about you we might not know… I’ve used Canvas Corp supplies for years and used to hop over to their blog and daydream about how much fun it would be to create and blog for them. I was over-the-moon ecstatic when that dream came true.
Share with us anything about your creative life that you feel would inspire others…. Sharing one’s art is intimidating, especially with so many already-established crafters and creators out there. I found it most helpful to just keep creating-even if I wasn’t happy with the outcome. Also-find a tribe of like-minded crafters to bounce ideas with. Take chances. Be brave. Just create, craft, art, paint. And, most importantly, just be you.
