We are so excited every day to work with an amazing group of designers, each one bringing something special to the group, sharing new techniques, new ways to use their craft supplies, showing us new approaches when working with our product lines, etc. Today we share the second post in our new series for 2016 where we will be featuring our Crew letting you get to know a bit about each one, where they are from, what inspires them, their favorite products, their favorite Canvas Corp Brands project and more.
Kyriakos lends many talents to the Crew. Not only is he a very talented designer, but he is tech savvy and lends a helping hand often. Kyriakos resides half way across the world, but when we are working together to solve an issue it is like he is just down the hall, proof again of the power of the internet and how amazing communication technology is today. Kyriakos designs with his heart and each project carries with it special meaning.
We ask each member of the Crew to create a 4×4 Canvas that represents themselves and their personal style.
Kyriakos always seems to add a touch of vintage and personality to each of his projects and his 4×4 is a great example of his simple vintage approach.
Kyriakos resides in….the northern part of Greece, in the city of Thessaloniki. Thessaloniki is the second largest city in Greece.
With spectacular views like this there is inspiration found everywhere you turn.
Kyriakos’s design style can best be described as…”vintage but not embellishment overcrowded. I like the old style things but I don’t say no to anything contemporary. Metallic elements are my favorite and trying to use them wherever I can. I like altering objects and finding alternative ways of using materials to create projects, but keeping quite clear each material used is recognizable and in the best possible detail.
Kyriakos was inspired most to be creative by….”Who initially got me in that deep of crafts?…well one person to “blame” :), my friend Maria Foustanellas, who used to do scrapbooking and where I got my first materials. Now, I am inspired by everything around me that can catch my eye. My crafts are usually oriented to the person I am creating for and the style, colors, theme are inspired by them…including my mood of course!
Kyriakos is inspired today by…”nature and natural materials”
Kyriakos’s favorite Canvas Corp Brand Product is….”7gypsies Optical Lens, I can use them in the majority of projects, they can be used as just embellishments to modern, vintage and other style crafts, while they can be altered to be the main craft (as jewelry).” Here is a beautiful necklace Kyriakos created that shows off just what he is saying.

Not only is Kyriakos an amazing artist, but he is tech savvy too, we so appreciate his behind the scenes work on our blog and websites. He is always willing to come to the rescue and brings with him wonderful solutions. We learn from him creatively and through his technology and so appreciate all that he does for the Crew.
