Lena travels near and far let her find amazing creative inspiration and she seems to find it wherever she goes. The combination of everyday craft products and found items is inspiring and each one have a look all their own. Many feel the need to copy what they see when they create, making sure every detail is the same, while others let their creativity run wild. Lena reminds us through her projects what a free-spirited creative mind will create. For those who strive to make it look the same, be inspired to try something new and different and look outside your craft supplies when working on your next project and we think you will be cleverly surprised with the results.
We had a chance to ask Lena a few questions about her design style, inspiration and favorite products. We love getting to know our Crew better and sharing it with you here on the blog.
CCB – Where do you reside?
Lena – Born in beautiful Archipelago Southwest of Finland and I am now living in Turku Finland.
CCB – Describe your design style….
Lena – Vintage mixed media recycling art. Is that a word?But that describes my style.
CCB – Who or what do you give credit to inspiring your creativity?
Lena – Absolutely my mum. She was an amazing creative women from Karelia.
CCB – What inspires you most today?
Lena – Inspiration is everywhere. For example, when I see somebody throw away some cool stuff I immediately start to think maybe just maybe I can use that for my art. Somebody trash can be treasure for me. I love recycling.
CCB – What is your favorite Canvas Corp Brand Product? and why? Just one please!!!!
Lena – You can’t ask me that. Pick only one. That is so cruel. There are so many things I love and I can not live without them.

CCB – What is your favorite projects you have created using CCB Products?
CCB – Why is it your favorite?
Lena – I had so much fun creating it. That chair is absolutely my masterpiece.
The Crew participates in many exciting challenges and this file folder challenge turned into the cutest file folder purse when Lena took on the challenge.
Lena’s projects also have wonderful messages with them and fun little details.
CCB – Do you teach and if so tell us a bit about what you teach, where you go and some of your favorite places?
Lena – I don’t teach but I would love to. Maybe someday I have time for it.
Lena – I am the happiest doing…..Spending time with my family.
Lena – My favorite place to be creative…..In my messy craft room. My creative space is really small. I’m dreaming about studio.

CCB – Tell us one cool detail about your studio or craft space?
Lena – One of our cats is always helping me. This is a Mainecoon cat – “Tilda”.
CCB – Tell us one thing fun about you we might not know?
Lena – Women my age love to buy clothes, but not me. I love to spend my time in a scrapbook or craft shop shop. Rusty scrap is a girl’s best friend, not diamonds.
This little man is just one of a few that are so cleverly made with goodies Lena finds along her travels.
CCB – Share with us anything about your creative life that you feel would inspire others?
Lena – Think outside the box. I love recycling and for that I always keep my eyes open.
