Our creative journey continues around the world as we get to know our Crew better and share with you what inspires them. We take our next turn in Kiev, the capital city of Ukraine. It is one of the most green places in the world, filled with parks and gardens. Ukraine is just about in the center of Europe and has recently had some difficult times. Crew member Viktoriya Porechnaya shares, “We believe the best, and hope for peace – I know that beauty helps us.”
Describe your design style…. I can’t describe my style in one word. I like different styles. One day it could be shabby, other days it can be vintage. It can be classic paper scrapbooking or mixed-media with pastes and paints. I love making something new and interesting and try to be creative every time I make something new.
Who or what do you give credit to inspiring your creativity? My inspiration is all around me! Sunny days and winter evenings, blooming flowers and singing birds, pictures from Pinterest and brilliant works from my friends! I always have so many ideas in my head but not so much time to do all of it. A few extra hours in the day would not hurt.
What inspires you most today? It’s spring! More flowers, more bright colors, more tenderness every day.
What is your favorite Canvas Corp Brand Product and why? I love the Tattered Angels mists. It was love at first sight some years ago and it still is now! Amazing colors and radiance are perfect for me! But I also love the great new TA High Impact Paints and also the Canvas Corp products such as printed cardstock and fabric.
We asked each member to create a 4×4 mini work of art on canvas to show off their creative style and Viktoriya, shows off her bright fun style, with lots of great layers and texture.
What is your favorite project you have created using CCB Products and why is it your favorite? This is my agenda journal – retro style. I love the bright colors of the paints and fabric, the doodling, and funny details. It’s something I made that I use for myself.
Do you teach? If so tell us a bit about what you teach, where you go and some of your favorite places. I held workshops a lot in the past and now I teach. I teach scrapbooking skills for beginners and for other scrap ladies in creative studios.
I am the happiest doing….. something free – from creative ideas in my head to artwork on my table immediately and using great products and supplies of course.
My favorite place to be creative….. is my home. I don’t have a studio or crafting room, I have a crafting home! My paints and mists are in the kitchen. My card stock and supplies are in the rooms as my usual interior. My dream is a spacious room only for my crafting hobbies! I want to have a huge creative world to work with.
Tell us one thing fun about you we might not know… I often work directly on the floor. It is a great place to lay out everything I need to make my projects, and my lovely white cat always helps me out.
Share with us anything about your creative life that you feel would inspire others…. One day I applied for the Canvas Corp Brands Creative Crew, it was the first Design Team I had every applied to! I was chosen! It was fantastic! I had always made scrapbooking projects, taught other people, but I was afraid of design teams calls. Now I am working for several design teams.
