Today we have Crew Member Jean Marmo sharing her project using
Canvas Corp ~ Compose your Life papers and sharing the importance of using the right adhesive for the job!!

In Jean’s Words

When working on a project – especially one off the paper – it is important to have the right adhesive. This will ensure your project comes together and stays together. Helmar has a variety of adhesives including Fabric Glue, 450 Quick Dry and Scrap Dots. Each of these played an important part in this project! I was confident my canvas, flowers and titles would stay where I put them on the wreath! This beautiful wreath will grace the door of my work room and provide me with encouragement as I as create.

Jean’s Creative Process

Step 1

Step 3

Fussy cut flowers and mist with Tattered Angels ~ Iridescent silver. While wet, bend and fold to give the flowers shape and dimension. Layer flowers using Helmar ~ Scrap Dots. This is a 3D glue which will also add dimension to the flower layers.

Step 4

Assemble cluster securing all layers using Helmar 450. This glue dries quickly and clear. Once the cluster is dry, secure to wreath also using the 450.

Step 5

To complete the wreath, add embellishments such as buttons, beads and the phrases which have also been misted.
