In Irit’s Words

I almost never use patterned cardstock when working with stamps but sometimes, I can see the win- win match of Canvas Corp cardstock with some stamp/stencil company. So. when I first saw the new Compose Your Life CCB collection I knew that it will be
a perfect fit for Magenta stamps and stencils.

By the way Magenta is Canadian stamp company that I designed for last year. They produce rubber stamps and stencils and the good thing is that these products are never retired. So, if you like the product you always can buy one. The stamp set I used is about 5” tall and it makes the stamped image the perfect focal point. I decided to incorporate the image together with CCB patterned cardstock using the thick 8*8” watercolor cardstock from Compose your Life 8*8” paper pad as my so called canvas. Later I used the thin paper to cut the paper images and kept the thick cardstock for the future use.

Step 1

Cover the watercolor CCB cardstock from 8*8” paper pad Compose your life with gesso. Add crackle paste over stencil as shown and let it crackle.

Step 2

Tear a few paper pieces and glue them in the ” white spaces” with gel mediums.

Step 3

Hand cut paper flowers from another paper piece and glue them around the page as shown.

Step 4

Stamp the image with VersaMark over embossable acetate and them heat emboss with black embossing powder. Cut the image around. Don’t try to make the perfect cut as this is a clear base.

Step 5

Mist the page with three TA mists. Let the first dry before you add the second one .

Step 6

Paint the clay frame or any other chipboard frame you have with High Impact Black.

Step 7

Paint the acetate stamped image with High Impact Red and Olive. Do not try to make it perfect! It’s an art page and it can be anything but perfect coloring.

Step 8

Cut more paper flowers from the collection papers.

Step 9

Arrange the paper flowers over the black frame.Arrange stamped flowers over the paper ones as shown. Add paper cut titles on the cluster side.

Step 10

This is how it looks from the side with all layers.
