Hi everybody! It’s Zuzia Bodakowska here.
Today, I would like to show you two of my scrapbooking pages containing my latest love – watercolor elements.
Galaxy moons are quite easy to create and the effect is spectacular.
Instead of traditional watercolors, I used Tattered Angels mists here. They work pretty well.
For the purple layout:
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Majesty Purple, Fully Purple, Dried Lavender
Tattered Angels Simply Sheer – Sweet violet
Tattered Angels Plain Jane – Iris
Tattered Angels Decor and DIY – White
Prima white Gesso
7gypsies – A Haunted Abode paper
Paper flowers and leaves
For the pink layout:
7gypsies Epicurean paper – Hoagie
Tattered Angels Chalkboard – Clover, Polka Dot Pink
Tattered Angels Baseboard – Grass
Tattered Angels Glimmer mist – Black Cherry
scissors, stencil
You will also need: watercolor tray and paintbrushes
How to paint the moons
Draw a circle on a white watercolor or mixed media paper. Spray your mists on a plate or tray.
I chose 5 colors for the purple moon and 4 colours for the pink and green moons. Then start coloring your circle.
Put many layers of paints in random places and leave some parts of the moon pale.
Add dome more colour. Put darker color on the edges.
Let dry. Now paint small dots with Decor and DIY white paint.
Let dry and your moons are ready to use after cutting them out.
You do follow the same process to paint the pink moons.
Assemble your layouts
You can make the layouts as simple or as layered as you like.
I added some doodles and flowers; i also fussy cut my photos to make them look more interesting.
I hope you will try watercoloring with Tattered Angels mists too. It worth it!
