Do you have all your gift wrapping done? We sure do not and we love to see a fresh idea that gets our creative juices flowing and gives us the boost we need to get those gifts wrapped. Here are a few fun ideas you are going to love.
This is a unique gift wrap idea……3D gift wrap and tag! I was brainstorming a different way to approach handmade gift wrap ideas and realized this was a rather unique idea! – Diana Riukas
Tools Used – Scissors – Water Dropper – Paintbrush ( 1-2 inches wide) – Pencil/eraser – Hand held Dryer
Diane shares a video on how she made her gift wrap.
Wrap your box with kraft paper. You can buy it by the roll or re-use the paper grocery sacks if you can still get them at your grocery store.
Paint all 4 sides of box with a sealer, such as Mod Podge. Then use a water dropper filled with Tattered Angels Chalkboard glimmer spray in color Chalk. Remove top of Chalkboard spray to fill dropper with paint. Create drippage by holding dropper against top edge of box and squeezing to let drips fall. Repeat on all 4 sides of box. Tattered Angels White or Metallic White High Impact Paint would also be a great choice for adding this “snow” onto the kraft paper.
Trim the trees and glimmer them up with Pearl Glimmer Mist.
After cutting out trees. Spray them with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in color “Pearl”. Use hand held dryer to dry first coat and repeat 2 more times. Using strong white glue , such as Tacky glue……spread out glue on bottom edges which will be in contact with box to glue on 2 sides of box. For the free standing trees in center…..fold in half and open. Cut tiny slit at bottom and fold tabs to apply glue . Glue down to make them standing.
You can cut your snowflakes very detailed or simple like the ones shown. Remember no two snowflakes are alike so have fun and make them anyway you like.
Using regular white copy paper 8.5×11 inches…….fold into quarters. Open paper and cut on folds to get 3 rectangles ( you don’t need 4). Then place all 3 rectangles on top of each other and fold into triangle. Cut off excess so you have 3 squares now. Fold back into a triangle and fold again. Cut shapes out on all 3 sides to create simple basic snowflakes. Glue the sides together to make a dimensional snowflake.
Add a bit of ribbon and you are all set. You can make a white tag to match or jot to: and from: on your snowflake. Create or several and line them up under the tree for all to see.

Marie Johansson sent a special gift that just cannot be opened until Christmas, the wrap is so beautiful and the tags will be treasured forever The black wrap shows off the spectacular tone on tone tags that have wonderful details. The 3D tags are layered with different textures and finishes, but all in the same tones creating a wonderful look.
The black and ivory combination with bits of white are so wonderful together and show that you don’t need all items with a holiday color or theme to make holiday tags.
Tiny Gift Wrapped Packages
Linda Israel shows us another fun way to create little gift wrapped boxes for sweet tiny gifts.
You can wrap up little gifts or just make these for fun and put them in a bowl, sleigh or under a little tree.
“Needing tiny packages for a display I turned to making these little packages. Using cardboard, paper, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, paired with Ribbon, a Holy Leaf punch and some rhinestones, these little gifts make a big impact. One would think that there are precious items wrapped up inside. You would never know that these were solid cardboard. Make your own, here is an idea; have everyone write what blessing they are thankful for this Christmas and wrap that up inside. Years from now open them up and remember how blessed you were in 2016.” – Linda Israel
