We love to do exchanges, support our team and do fun things that keep us creating. In 2018 we want to push our dear Creative Crew into new creative adventures. We want them to push their limits, try new things and evolve their creativity. We decided to create a serie of out of the box challenges that we call “Good for the Creative Soul”. We have figured out 1 special challenge each month.
In April we challenged the Crew with the word Grow. And their project needed to have something that actually grow on their project – leaf, flowr, grains, grass OR kids for that sake…
They could use any technique/material they wanted but it must be 75% CCB products.
Today we share the beautiful work from a few of our Creative Crew Members.
This is my entry for the grow crew challenge. I love using natural products in my projects so this was the perfect challenge for me. In this project I have used authentic dried French Lavender and bay leaf which has the added bonus of adding scent to the card, I have also used dried moss.
For this challenge, I used an eggshell after having hollowed it, washed it and dried it. I use the Bronze Patina kit to give an aged look. I stuck this shell on a round cardboard holder that fits perfectly in the bell. I covered this surface with tree moss surrounded by bark. I put some pebbles painted with glimmer mist. I then put some soil in the eggshell to plant a muscaris. I also put a little wooden rabbit painted with glimmer mist Dijon. I also decorated the bell with a label cut out of the collection paper” canvas corp spring sayings on ivory” that I painted again with glimmer mist.

Door to the old house – Canvas in the style of mixed media. I used sprays, paint and natural dried moss. An old, dilapidated door, followed by a path to the old garden. But life is winning – the young shoots of grass grow through the rotten tree.

When “Good for the Creative Soul” challenge was announced, I was thrilled. The theme is Grow, where we have to use something that actually grows. I have created a spice bag hanger. For my project, I have used an old canvas panel on which I have stuck burlap that was sent in the crew kit. Took few bottle caps and gave a coat of black sand. After it dried, sprayed Tattered angels Glimmer mists from the Basic collection. Adhered them to the base. Also adhered clothespins to the caps. Added some flowers and ferns. I took the throwaway grapes stems and added mini art stones. I made a few sacs from the burlap and attached a chord. This can be used to keep spices or can be used for handy stationery items.

Burlap is the prefect fabric to use for planting in the garden. It holds moisture, but allows seeds and bulbs to breath and not get too wet. I decided that I would make some cute burlap pockets for these ranunculus bulbs I picked up at the store. These pockets can be planted as is right into the garden to grow these wonderful flowers.
