Green Gypsy Tag - August Challenge ”Go Green”

Hey everyone! Cathy Frailey here with a beautiful gypsy tag in shades of mesmerizing green! The tag was created with inspiration of our August Challenge “Go Green”. I used a mix of Tattered Angels paints and Canvas Corp Brands papers & trim to create a fun layered tag that can be used for decor or as a gift for the gypsy friend in your life! The embossed papers take color beautifully and provide nooks and crannies for the glimmer to settle!

Step 1

There’s really only 1 big step to this and it’s painting your papers with the Tattered Angels paints! Use a water brush to mix the colors to create different tones of green. Let that glimmer settle in the nooks and crannies! I didn’t color the whole flower paper – the ivory color makes a nice contrast!

Now layer your embellishments! I used the Don’t Cry – Make Art cutout from the stash pacque which fit perfectly across the top of my tag. Then I just trimmed off excess.

Step 3

I used the seersucker paper as a backdrop for the gypsy picture to add some contrast as well as putting a small strip on top of the fringe. I also went around the edges with green ink.

Step 4

The colors are gorgeous on the embossed paper! Look at the shimmer.
