Recently, our Crew did a fun mini album swap. The idea was to create an album about the size of a cell phone and then send it off to another Crew member! We had lots of participants and they all did such an amazing job of creating their albums. This one was created by Carly Pool, and we just love that bright green she added into it!
MATERIALS:
Canvas Corp Kraft E-Flute
Canvas Corp Black E-Flute
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist- Kiwi
Canvas Corp Burlap Fringe- Grey
Scraps of Black Lace
7gypsiesSmall Chrome Binding Rings
7gypsies Findings- Old Scissors
7gypsies Trinkets- Ink Pens
Canvas Corp Zebra Tags- Retired
Crop a Dile
Paper cutter
Tape roller
Stencils
Paste
STEP 1
Use stencils and paste and go right over the cardboard unevenly.
STEP 2
Sew together the black lace and burlap in direct middle.
Let sit and dry for a few hours if not over night.
STEP 4
Sew canvas pieces on cardboard in no particular order.
STEP 5
Cut out circles with dies and spray them with the glimmer mist. Let dry, then place them anywhere you would like and glue down.
STEP 6
Punch holes down the long side of the album. Add the metal rings to each of the holes, and also a metal gear to each one if you would like.
STEP 7
Gather a few pieces of ribbon that match and cut about four sets of each in 7 inch lengths. Tie them around the key ring just in front of the gear to hold in place. Cut down to desired lengths. Add a canvas corps metal tag that is hand stamped to the end key ring.
We just love how Carly’s mini album turned out! So many fun ways to build an album- Carly used our E-Flute and metal rings for this album, but some of the other Crew members did different techniques for this challenge- sewing, flip albums, envelopes, fabrics, paints and more! These little albums are perfect for slipping in photos, quotes, memories, and ephemera. Give them to a friend or hang on to them for sentimental reasons!
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today! If you would like to see more of Carly’s work, please visit her BLOG and INSTAGRAM!
Until next time, Happy Creating!

Fantastic album.
The cover looks like corrugated cardboard.
The ribbon trim that was made from
several pieces is so pretty.
The green makes it look summery.
thanks for sharing.
