As winner of our monthly challenges you get invited to be our Guest Designer for a month. Piia Hiltunen was the winner of our November challenge and today she share her fantastic work with the prize pack we sent her.
“Hello all! My name is Piia Hiltunen and I live in Finland. As you can see I adore cats. I have three of them on my own. I started making cards and other crafty stuff about ten years ago. I love mixed media and combining different materials and mediums. Some of my works may not be considered traditionally beautiful. I also see beauty in odd things. I get a lot of inspiration from nature and music so my favorite place besides my crafting table is in the forest or music festivals.”
For this work I found couple 12 X 12 papers from 7 Gypsies from my stuff and started to layer burlap and papers I received as a prize on top. Layers are mostly sewed together with sewing machine. I stamped borders to the both sides with Tattared Angels stamp and embossed it. There´s die cut stars, star confetti, mini clothespins and a 7 Gypsies Trinket sticker as details. Part of the text is cut from a card I received and the rest is cut with Silhouette Cameo.
