The 7gypsies Gypsy Moments Collection is so shabby, so chic, so vintage and just so pretty. Ilana created this amazing book of paper, canvas, paint and burlap. With each turn of the page this handmade book features all that is so beautiful about the collection. Add photos, journal entries or even recipes and put it on display.
This is a mini album with vintage photos from my childhood with my sister. I made this project to give to her as a birthday present. The structure of the mini album is made of paper bags. I painted them using gesso and my favorite Glimmer Mists.
This canvas cover was misted with assorted Glimmer Mists to create the backdrop for ribbons, burlap, flowers, buttons and feathers. The front of the book features one of the polaroid images cut from 7gypsies 12×12 Paper Poses & Reflections. ‘You’ll always be my friend’, FRIENDSHIP. What else needs to be said.
The back features the same Misted canvas with a coordinating tie to the front so the book can be closed with this lovely ribbon.
The inside pages are filled with amazing creativity as the backdrops are created with Mists, Inks, Embellishments and papers. Ilana created little pockets to hold vintage photos and ephemera pieces.
This collection is the perfect backdrop for these amazing photos from the past in black and white and color, they all blend so perfectly together.
Adding little envelopes is a great hiding spot for a special message or to slip a tiny found photo.
A sisters bond is captured here is this great photo where the cord and the phone say it all.
We just love the books in this collection, they look so great when fussy cut to make a pocket or to add to pages of mini books or scrapbook layouts.
