Hi, I’m Christine and I’ve created an extra special album for a loved one’s 60th birthday present named “The Sails of Life”.

I managed to get hold my loved one’s gorgeous photos in different stages of her life. From sepia to black & white and color, every single picture has inspired me to make this album filled with pockets & pages for her to journal on, and add extra photos and other mementos if she wishes. The Gypsy Moments collection was perfect for this, along with a variety of canvas and burlap sheets, charms & the deep colors of Chalkboard Mists.
Front Cover: The Damask Printed Canvas on the cover is added with a splash of color of the Black Orchid Chalkboard Mist. The chipboards are given a treatment of Chalkboard Mist as well, using the beautiful deep Admiral shade. Once the chipboards are dry, some parts are given a extra layer of glazed color with a light brush of Hot Pink Stained Glass paint.
Pages 1-2: The Gypsy Moments Printed File Folders provide the perfect backdrop for all the precious captured moments, from vintage to more modern photos. Tie some Sisal Natural Rope through a small Prinscesa Crystal Hardware which has been painted with the Stained Glass paint. This paint will tint clear items such as acrylic, crystal, glass and plastic and is available in a rainbow of colors. The crystal has been securely tied to the Natural Twisted Hemp Rope as a beautiful front piece, & is a functional bookmark for inside as well.
Cut out the polariod style frames from the Poses & Reflections paper to enhance featured photos and slip in your own photos. Isn’t she absolutely gorgeous!
Pages 2-3: Add pockets to all the file folders. You can never have too many photos in this “ages & stages” album! There are lots of inspirational quotes & statement on the Gypsy moments paper.
Pages 3-4: Layer some Ladylike Mini Ephemeras for an extra pop of color & layer. Keeping with the printed Damask Canvas on the cover, also add another strip in a file folder.
Pages 5-6: The Black Waxed Cotton Cord is tied in a bow & added in a file folder. Also use this to tie & secure each file folder in the album. Trim a couple of frames from the “A Novel Thought” paper.
Pages 6-7: The Antique Brass Round Hanger Clip is great for holding extra photo in the file folder.
Pages 7-8: Stamp the Blessed stamp on a strip of Canvas Sheet.
Pages 8-9: I absolutely love the metallic on the Solid Silver Metallic on Kraft paper. I also added some Burlap Sheets behind strips of words for a special touch.
Pages 9-10: I love the thickness & quality of Canvas Corp Kraft papers, & the Black & Kraft Tile Reverse paper is ever so versatile.
Pages 10-11: The Chocolate Burlap sheet is added to the last pocket & back of the album for the finishing touch. One last piece of Antique Brass Vintage Pin is added to the pocket with a strip from the Gypsy Moments 8×8 paper pad.
Back Cover: I used a piece of the book paper to cover the back of the book.
The idea of capturing such amazing photo memories in a keepsake book like this is such perfect gift for a friend, parent or even grandparent. Something that will stay in the family for generations to come. You can always copy your photos and not sure the original ones to preserve them and still have the memories to show.
