Hello! Its Monday and most of us are ready for the weekend already. Despite being stuck at work, we can still have some gypsy-worthy adventures. so… let’s hit the road again! This time Sheri Levitt takes us on her gypsy travels to the Route 66 museum in Victorville, California.
The California Route 66 Museum is an Interactive museum with over 4500 Sq. Ft. of floor space and photo opportunities for the visitors to share memories in such settings as a 50’s diner, our VW Love Bus complete with hippy wigs and sunglasses for that perfect shot. You can jump up onto the 1917 Model T Ford and any one of our docents would be glad to take a picture of you and your party. We have the first Santa Monica “End of the Trails” booth that is becoming quite popular with visitors. And for those with a good sense of humor, we have an “Outhouse” built just for that photo. Last year for Thanksgiving, me and my mom went with a Senior Travel Group (I’m not a senior, I went as my mom’s helper) to the Queen Mary. On the way back home the next day, we stopped at a small Route 66 Museum in Victorville, CA.
It was really cool. Lots of retro stuff! I love stuff like this, so I took lots of pictures. Everywhere you looked, there was something there.

This VW Bug van you can go in for a picture opportunity.
They even have wigs and glasses for you to put on and get the feel of the times.

Also you can see hints of a couple old washers in the pictures.
Course they have a jukebox with records. Remember those? Sadly, it was out of order.

Fun old American Diner set up. One of my favorite things there.
Gas Station Attendants uniforms for when you went and they filled your car.

They even have items hanging from the ceiling.

Thanks for sharing photos of this fun museum! One of my lifelong dreams has been to drive Route 66 from start to finish. Love all of the neat finds from yesteryear.

What s fun place! My friend and I went to CHA in Anehiem a few years ago and drove the Mother Road from Tulsa! That completed my entire route. Thanks for the great pictures!
