I love colour

Spring is getting closer here and I have some colourful projects to share with you today, perhaps inspired by the change of seasons…

I have created a small tag album, using lots of gesso, paint and Tattered Angels products. First of all I used gesso with stencils to create some texture on my tags. Then I painted the tags with acrylic paint and finally I coverd my tags with Glimmer Glam in the colours Rockin’ On Sunshine, Mermaid, Pink Lipstick and Organic Garden. On top of the Glimmer Glam I added even more gesso, and when the top layer was dry I added Glimmer Mist in the colours Patina, Key Lime Pie and Cherry Blossom, and Chalkboard Glimmer Mist Banana Pudding.

I tied some twine around my photos and colored some die cuts from book pages with the same Mists and Glams as I used for the tags.

My second project is a layout and I’m surprising myself with the use of yellow for the second month in a row. I started out using gesso and a stencil on my background. I then sprayed the background with lots of Glimmer Mist Key Lime Pie and Chalkboard Glimmer Mist Chalk and I let the mist drip both to the left, to the right and down my page. I have then splattered Glimmer Glam Pink Lipstick over my background.

The ruler and the thickers were painted with Glimmer Glam Mermaid and the die cuts were covered with Glimmer Glaze Pewter.

My last project for today is a small canvas. Again I started out by using a stencil and gesso for my background. I then painted the entire canvas with Glimmer Glam Bordeaux. I also painted the flowers and the small butterfly decoration with Glimmer Glam Bordeaux and the lace was sprayed with Chalkboard Glimmer Mist Chalk. The doily and the cheese cloth were sprayed with Glimmer Mist Patina.
