Journaling your Thoughts & Wedding blooms

Hello, jamie here this month with Tattered Angels we are showing you a two in one!! Art Journals AND great wedding ideas! 🙂  I love both ideas and here is what I had worked on.

I usually draw or paint in my journal using mists and paints are a big part of my pages. I created this art journal by reusing a hardback book, and covering in Gesso then altering it with Glimmer Glaze (Cowboy and Saffron) it has a pink hue to it, because the RED book bled through the gesso. I used Sharpie markers over the dried glaze.

.Here are a couple of pages i had made using Glimmer Mist Olive Vine, Turquoise Blue.  The hearts were sprayed with Peacock Chalkboard paint. I painted the bottom of the page with Organic Garden Glimmer Glam.

On the second set of pages I used Cadillac Pink, Route 66, Glimmer Mist and Inchworm Chalkboard mist.  I sprayed these over a gel medium layer.  To top it off with Tutu Pink Glimmer Glam. The leaves were painted with Emerald Cove Glimmer Glaze and the branches were painted with Cowboy.  the journalling strips were painted with Wicked Glimmer Glaze

And since it is Wedding season I wanted to make a bridal bouquet and matching veil.  Using Prima paper flowers, Michaels silk flowers and some vintage trim.  I was able to color match all of it using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists.  The colors used were Alaskan Salmon Chalkboard Mist, Turquoise Blue and Dazzling Diamonds glimmer Mists.  The ribbon was altered with the Turquoise Blue.

I love how the two colors fit so well together!

Thank You for stopping by the Tattered Angels blog today and make sure to check back in this month for more great Wedding and journalling Ideas!!

both are stunning, but I really like how you used the book as a journal. This would be perfect for an English teacher 🙂

Your roses look so real, I just love how you matched the veil and the bouquet. I have just repurposed a book for my new art journal too, so looking forward to filling it now, thanks for the inspiration 🙂
