Junk Journal #RACCBmatchup

We are in the final stretch of our monthlong matchup with the folks at Relics and Artifacts. I don’t know about you but I have been WOW’d by the talent these two teams have shown. In Katie’s Words

I received a canvas mini album and wanted to experiment with the textures so i creates a junk journal using Architextures

Katie shares her creative process

Step 1

Paint front cover with Gesso

Step 2

Spritz with Glimmer Mist – Atlantic

Step 3

Apply stencil and more mist and paint over with Silver Glimmer Glam

Step 4

Glue denim paper to book spine, apply stencil and glimmer glam

Step 5

Paint Relic with Glimmer Glaze Paint – Night Blue and Coconut Shell and High Impact Metallic Paint – Silver

Step 6

Cut up strips from the Architextures paper pad and adhere to cover

Step 7

add cheese cloth and teal burlap

Step 8

Add Relic to front

Step 9

For the inside add gesso and then paint with duck egg chalky finish paint, apply stencils and add ;pieces of paper and junk.

Step 10

Finish by adding a quote
