I had the honor and privilage to create a 6×6″ Canvas for the Tattered Angels booth at the Craft and Hobby Show. The back wall of the booth was filled with beautiful canvases by each design team member. Several people created more than one. They were all different color schemes, many used stencils, paste and texture.
Today, I wanted to show you my little canvas. Many of us discovered that these babies are highly addictive. It’s hard to create just one!
I used my favorite 6×6″ Canvas from Canvas Corp. They are “naked” without any gesso, so they are perfect for misting and blending colors. One of my favorite techniques is to use colors that blend from dark to light and heavily mist them while each color is still wet. I apply several layers for a deep tone and beautiful blending.
For this canvas I used Pink Plain Jane Mist and Rosey Plain Jane Mist. I also used
I die cut Wonderful Wings by Spellbinders out of white card stock and misted those as well. I left everything dry, then adhered the Butterflies to the canvas with Helmar Fabric Glue, addd some Want2Scrap Wonderful Wings Bling and tied some white tulle around the bottom of the canvas. I folded the Butterfly wings just a little to create the look of flight.
Thanks for stopping by the Tattered Angels Blog today!
Let me know what your favorite canvas size is to create with!
Hugs
