Mixed Media I Layered Tag inspired by the November Challenge

Welcome to a tutorial Monday! We have a very special treat today from one of our Creative Crew Members, Aga Baraniak! Not only did she create a F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C mixed media tag,  but she has a whole video showing her creative process! Enjoy!

Our November Challenge is all about Yarn & there is many different way to use Yarn (or yarnlike material) in a project. Curious on how Aga used it? Continue reading.

“Welcome all CCB fans. Today’s tutorial is on how to use papers, Tattered Angels mists and other to make a tag. Here I also want to show you other ways of using mists. Personally, I seldom spray them since I prefer to spread them by means of a soft brush. The thicker the brush is, the more blobs you get .”

Watch the video below to see how I created this art piece. It is a step by step tutorial with lots of tips and composition information.

More details:

“I used a piece of yarn (this one is stiff & thick and used for crochet or makrame) to create dimension to the tag”

I live with my partner and my two children, in a small village the North of Sweden. I work as a Intensive Care Nurse (with Cardiology as speciality). My "style" is colourful and playful. I often use a lot of papers and embellishments. I try to have the photo in focus, and to reflect the feeling of the photo in the layout. I also makes cards and altered projects. If I would call my style something - well maybe Playful Punk Chic? (if i do a romantic layout, I can´t help giving it a playful twist...)
