With the weekend almost here, we wanted to share this quick and easy holiday cocktail recipe book that gives new meaning to the new trend of adult coloring with fun cocktail images to color in from the Canvas Corp Mixology Collection. This collection is black and white and filled with fun sayings and amazing art of fun drinks that are terrific over ice from ice tea and lemonade to your favorite adult beverages.
The book was created with Canvas Corp Kraft Paper Bags. The bags are bound together with these paper hinges created with Canvas Corp Journal Lines on white. The simple line art of the paper helps to tie the book together. Cut the paper to the length of your your paper bag and approximately 2″ wide and fold them in ½ on the long side. Make as many as you need for the number of bags you decide for your book. Glue them to a front of one bag and a back of another bag. When you are done glue them together by making a burlap biding.
Now the fun begins….coloring in the amazing art with your Tattered Angels Glam. We just love this paint and the little paint brush that comes with it. We added a bit of Glimmer Mist with a paint brush too, just pour the paint into a little cup after shaking side to side and apply with a brush where you want color. You will achieve a watercolor look. All in greens and reds convert this paper to the perfect holiday cocktail paper. This paper would make great cocktail party invitations too.
Add color to the icons found next to the sayings you choose to add to your book, transforming each of them with a touch of holiday. You can cover the front and back of your bags giving them extra strength with the nice weight of the cardstock on both sides by adding the papers and file folders and the tabs on each bag (Share) are cut from the Mixology Paper area added to the end of one side of the bag opening.
The Mixology Collection is a perfect companion with the Jolly Christmas. Both are printed on white with trendy, black graphics and look like the are suppose to be together.
Each page in the book has a 4×6 cut from the Black & Red Little Pages paper. You get 6 of them on one sheet and they make great backgrounds or journaling cards. They become festive immediately when a touch of red and green is added to them.
We also slipped in a few 4×6 Canvas Corp White File Folders and covered them with assorted holiday papers and added them to the book. You can slip your recipes into the bags or into the file folders. There is a touch of glue on one side of the file folder to keep it closed and hold the recipe cards in place.
