Hey Tattered Angels fans…Martha Richardson here, checking in from the beautiful Outer Banks area of the NC coast. This is my 1st official post on the new blog and I am thrilled to be here. This month our assignment was to work with canvas. Let me say…Tattered Angels paint products & canvas is like “P.B. & J.”, it’s another match made in heaven. I would like to share with you the projects I created for this month and to say I’m super excited would be an understatement.
This 1st project is a 12″X12″ canvas that I call “FOLLOW YOUR BLISS”. I love the water…any water…a lake, a beach, the ocean…that is where I find my peace.
To get the effect I wanted I used 7 different Glimmer Mist colors, Peacock Glimmer Chalkboard Mist, Mermaid, Tide Pool & Peach Bellini Glimmer Glam and Shy Violet & Penny Loafer Glimmer Glaze…whew!
Have you seen the Limited Edition Spring 2011 Bahaman Cruise Line colors? When I look at the them I see the colors of the Caribbean Islands. I wanted to show each color in all its glory so I created this “SPRING BANNER” using Sun Sisters, Rum Punch, Marmalade, Puerto Rico, Trunk Bay & Bahama Blue.
Each Prima 4×6″ Canvas Page has been misted with each one of the new Glimmer Mist Spring Colors and various Glimmer Screens. The Prima flowers, butterflies & felt vines & leaves have been Glimmer Misted and Glimmer Glammed. Can you see the sparkle?
Finally I created one more canvas piece using Glimmer Mist, Tattered Angel Stamps, Unity Stamp set by Melody Ross and Claudine Hellmuth’s sticky back canvas.
Using a Heidi Swapp Circle Mask, Tattered Angels Screen Print Clear Stamps & Black Staz-on Ink I created the circular focal point. I Glimmer Misted the circle & the9x12″ canvas board with Cherub Pink, Piece of Heart, Sea Foam, Olive Vine & Sand Glimmer Mist. I attached a Prima vine and 3 Donna Downey raw canvas butterflies to complete it. This piece turned out to be my favorite.
Hope these projects give you inspiration to go out and try the Tattered Angels paint products with CANVAS!!! See you next month…until then have fun and get GLIMMERY!

Gorgeous! The banner is so pretty – what a great way to showcase the new colours, and a real pick me up this time of year! Really love how you created that circle element on the canvas – I’ve never been able to stamp off the edge of a mask and have it so crisp a edge – FAB!
