I have been so inspired by all the Tattered Angels Design Team Member studios that have been shared this month. It’s my turn to let you take a peek into my Creative Art Space!
I live in a 1920’s Bungalow Style home in Wyoming. There is a wonderful open room in the house, that I have turned into my Art Room. My girls and I painted it my favorite color ~ blue.
My art table is a 1970’s drafting table that I re-purposed. It came from my local library. It has a huge middle drawer, a long rectangular drawer and a wonderful cream colored vinyl top. I bought 3 large red leather bins to store all my altered items that I can paint with Tattered Angels paints. I glued two yardsticks onto my cork board at the top and bottom, then painted and misted them with Tattered Angels products to give them an aged look.
The Art card, Hand Towel, Metal Angel Wing Clock and wooden red “H” Monogram were all created using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Glimmer Glam, Glimmer Glaze and Chalkboard Mists.
I used black vinyl decals on the wall to coordinate with my Paris canvas.
I like to display some of my art to keep the inspiration flowing. Projects you see here that use Tattered Angels paint products include the large Altered Metal Platter, Key to My Heart Layout, New Bike Canvas Layout, Altered Canvas Camera Bag, and Wooden Paris Box.
I have 2 stacking very large cream colored metal drawer units. There are 3 huge drawers each, for a total of 6. This is another salvage from the local library. I love them. They are full of stamps, pens, and projects I’m working on.
Opposite of my art table is a large rolling metal shelving unit. I filled it with fabric boxes and created tags to label each one.
This is my Tattered Angels product area. I got these fabulous wooden library card drawers, from – you guessed it – my local library!
They work perfectly for storing my Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Glimmer Glam, Glimmer Glaze and Chalkboard Mists! I can easily pull out a library drawer full of Tattered Angels products and take them over to my table to play with!
I have large fabric drawers full of Tattered Tags, Playful Patterns Crepe Ribbon, Vintage Hardware Antique Keys, Framed Fonts, Tattered Angels Albums, Chip Tiles, Glimmer Chips, Glimmer Glass, Glimmer Screens, Misting Tools, Screen Print Clear Stamps, and Tattered Angels Kits! Each fabric drawer is labeled with a Glimmer Misted Tattered Angels tag.
Along the third wall, I have a creative space for my two little girls. Arianna Faith (9) and Mackenzie Hope (7) love to create as much as I do. They are usually painting, drawing, scrapbooking and Glimmer Misting right along with me! These old school desks were given to us by an old church based school. They have fun little cubbies underneath them.
The girls have their own cork board. We painted a yard stick with Be Positive Glimmer Glam! I love how it turned out, and adhered it to the bottom of the cork board. The Altered Capri Jeans (on the back of Mackenzie’s desk) were altered with Tattered Angels products. The Spring Canvas, on the wall on the left, has several felt flowers misted with Glimmer Mist.
Here is one of my favorite projects using Tattered Angels paints.
It’s a dress from! I covered the bodice in crumpled tissue paper. I wrapped tissue paper around the bottom to create a skirt. The wings, ribbon and die cut flower were all altered with Tattered Angels paints.
Paints include: Apple Glimmer Mist, Sugar Maple Glimmer Mist, Pomegranate Glimmer Mist and Chandelier Glimmer Glam.
Thanks for taking a peek inside my Creative Art Space! I hope you enjoyed it. Have a wonderful day!
