Nana’s Little Brag Book

I am excited to share my Nana’s Little Brag Books on the Canvas Corp Blog. I created a full tutorial on my blog Kathy by Design where you will find all the details on putting these sweet little books together. Today’s post is especially for all the grandmothers! But moms, dads, aunts, uncles, sisters and brothers can read on, too! Canvas Corp Brands has released a sweet, fresh line of Baby Boy and Baby Girl papers that are bound to make you say, “awwww.” I worked them up into a kind of hybrid card/photo album that I’m calling Nana’s Little Brag Book. I made one for the boys and one for the girls.
These measure 5″ x 7″ and have pockets and tags on the inside so an adoring Nana can tuck in recent photos of her darling grand-baby. The design is simple, and you can make them as fancy or as plain as you want to. Here’s what you need to make your own:

Here is our lil’ Princess brag book filled with black, pink and ivory goodness. The die cut layers add a nice element of design and the flowers and ribbons finish it off so well.
The books open with pockets, nooks and crannies to add all kinds of good stuff. These books are also great for making at a baby shower as a gift for the new mom, the grandmas or even a big sister.
Kathy combines many of our pink and ivory and black and ivory papers in with the baby girl papers giving her lots of great designs to work with. We love that our papers mix and match to create fun projects like these brag books.
The black and ivory papers are perfect for adding color to match your color palette in this case Kathy added touches of pink to fussy cut elements she cut from the all over paper and then distressed the French Script with pink, a fun way to tie all the colors together with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.
Now onto one for the little man. Kathy used many of the same techniques, but added touches of burlap that is the perfect element with the Snips ‘n Snails Collection.

What proud Nana would not want one of these sweet little Brag Books? They’d also be great for Mom or Dad to have on her/his desk at work because they stand up all on their own. If you use re positionable tape to secure your photos, you can change them out as the baby grows.
